Archive policy
For every duplicate or original/upscaled group, the published web master was chosen after comparing dimensions, visible detail and compression. An upscale was not automatically preferred. Web copies were resized and optimized as JPEG files, while every known source path remains recorded in the media manifest.
Two filenames explicitly marked as AI-generated were excluded from the documentary gallery. They are not counted among the 430 historical image candidates.
The wider second-pass audit recovered one valid German Grand Prix photograph omitted by the first generator and removed three further duplicate views. The final catalogue therefore contains 355 images with no known processing omissions.
Missing pages from the 1995 website were not fabricated. Surviving pages retain their period wording and graphics; linked files that did not survive receive clearly labelled restoration placeholders.
The machine-readable details are available in assets/data/archive-report.json, assets/data/media.json and assets/data/site-audit.json.
