Développement aérodynamique

The PR02’s aerodynamic programme was led by David Watson using the MIRA model wind tunnel. According to the team’s official 1995 material, regulation changes had cost roughly 40% of downforce. Development therefore concentrated on lift-to-drag ratio, pitch sensitivity, cooling and race setup, including the car’s distinctive front-wing concept.

The goal was to recover downforce without damaging the cooling characteristics, while exploiting reduced ride-height sensitivity.

Ford Cosworth ED

The 2995 cc V8 weighed 129.5 kg dry and used pneumatic valves, Cosworth electronic management and advanced lightweight castings. Pacific’s own six-speed semi-automatic gearbox completed the installation.
